Contest Rules
Eligibility
- Contest is open for all Canadian citizens, People on Student Visa and Work Permits and Canadian residents - (either living in Canada or abroad).
- Only one entry allowed per individual in the set category
- Entries should be registered only through the registration link provided
- Registration will be allowed until April 15th, 2023 11.59 PM. (extended due to popular demand and overwhelming requests)
- Any entry submitted after April 15th, 2023 11.59 PM will be rejected
Rules
- Please select category as per the participant's age group as of 01 September 2023
- Songs must be from Telugu movies only – any genre
- There will be multiple rounds before entering finals
- There will be 2 elimination rounds (on-line) in the respective category before moving to quarter-finals (on-line), semi-finals (on-line) and then to the Finals (live on stage) on Oct 07 2023. Dates will be announced as we progress
- Contestant must prepare themselves with 2 full songs for each round to avoid any conflicts with other participants. The decision of the organizing committee will be final
- Contestant should sing a different song for every opportunity of performance and try to present songs from different genres as per the instructions. There will be recommended genres for each competition round which will be communicated while announcing the dates of the round
- First round for auditions can be without a track (Karaoke)
- It is required that contestants prepare for the songs with track (Karaoke) only for all future rounds
- Contestants will be allowed to carry notes/lyrics while performing for the judges in all rounds except for the semi-finals and final rounds
- Contestants have to perform by themselves for judges (without anyone accompanying the contestants while performing)
- Evaluation of the performance will be based on the points given by the judges for various technical aspects of the songs
- In the event of a tie in the points, it will be resolved by giving the contestants another chance to perform and the points of the latest performance will be considered for the next rounds
- Video uploads that are edited will be automatically disqualified
- Judges decision will be final and Organizing committee will have no say in the outcome of the results
**Note: Organizing committee has the right to modify, add or delete these rules for a better and fair competition spirit unto 2 days before the competition. Contestants are encouraged to visit these pages before the competition rounds to keep themselves up-to-date with the prevailing rules.
Winners
There will be 3 winners for each category in the finals
1st prize - $ 1,500
2nd prize - $ 1,000
3rd prize - $ 500
